I am the eponymous Emily, and I'm glad you're here. You can find out more about me on the About Emily page.

• I am author, journalist, scientist, and educator. 
• As a human, I can't help but be political.
• I also am very deliberately political.
• I am pro-woke because my entire life has been a pursuit of being as aware as possible of the reality around me.
• I write my own words.

If you visit this site directly, you'll find that I curate and post often, but I ship a newsletter of curated material once a week. My interests are, let's say, varied but a high proportion of content here will relate to science, human rights, brains and sex/gender, culture and society, and disability. Sometimes, things are personal.
